Scientist can explore all they want to about the reasons for drug addiction but I can tell you my reason. Drugs made me escape from reality. Drugs made me feel good. Drugs made me feel sexual and loose and drugs gave me a rush!

Let me run down my drug history and reason. Heroin, was a curiosity first and then it was an addiction, my body had to have it. I did that for 2 years and decided that was not how I wanted to live my life. Methadone was man made and ate the marrow from your bones so I opted to kick cold turkey. Walked away from that and straight into the arms of Crank (Meth, whatever they call it these days)that was the, “get your freak on drug,” and I loved it and so did the man that gave it to me. Then I found out about the effects of that drug in the long run after 3 years of main lining that drug so I ran away from that man and hid for a year, got clean and then entered the world of Crack Cocaine!

That was my rush to the brain drug! The drug that has destroyed families and a generation of children. I got caught up in the puff of smoke! Now, I am drug free and have been for over 5 years and the funny thing is that drugs never took me all the way to the ground but other life issues did. The reasons for addiction are many and the key to letting it go is deep within the person who is under control of drugs. You won’t stop until you die or you learn.

Explore all the reasons you want but don’t try them and “just say no!”
