Most will tell you that drugs are bad and highly addictive, many people i have known take drugs recreation ally and have done for years. Now these are people in full time employment with mortgage’s and stable mental states.
Drug addiction only happens when people “use” to block out a paranoia or fear or social withdrawal, When people stop using for pleasure and start using to forget.
Its only then that it gets an addiction.
I’ve looked into drugs extensively I’ve used myself everything except heroin and crack. Its not something I’m proud of because I’ve done the nervous breakdown and paranoia, all because i had a bad past and no self confidence.Of course i had a family that loved me and all the support i needed however, as any user knows that doesn’t even matter if you are in the grips of addiction.
For example “E” is a clubs drug, but when used it makes you have terrific empathy for people, something to make you feel more connected with everyone. It does have risks everything does but if your with people you trust and try then do it with people you care about. But im not condoning this but if people want to try then they will.
Also the thing that worries me is that “cannabis” a registered drug which apparently isn’t addictive, I’ve found is the worst of all users cant go for longer than 2 weeks without getting irritable. Cannabis if you are a habitual user doesn’t leave your system for up to a month and is far harder to get off of.
Now in summation drug addiction isn’t a junkie hidden in a street corner its people growing tired of this society that need to take drugs to make themselves feel accepted and wanted in todays consumer society. We need to help them with therapy and changing our own behaviors before judging those who simply cannot help it, which is why they turn to drugs in the first place.
