I was totally absorbed in the book Crack'd. I was led into a world of the unknown for me. I learned the way of life for a person hooked on Crack. It was heartbreaking and very scary at times. Nonetheless, I think it is a book everyone should read before trying Crack, or any drug for that matter. It would definitely hinder the desire to try, or to use drugs. There was suspense never knowing for sure if family and loved ones would standby to help or give up on the addict completely; as he seemed a totally lost soul at times.
<br />Excellent read.

This story is absorbing and feels very real. I was left wanting to know more about Jim's life that wasn't covered in the book. Without question, his story offers a doorway into the life of a crack addict and leaves you enlightened - and also helps explain why it is so difficult for non-addicts to understand or relate. No easy answers and plenty of scary situations, but a doorway nonetheless.
